This young lion is the same one pictured on the log facing me, which happened later the next day. He and his litter mates were climbing and hanging out in the breeze - a common occurrence at Samburu but not so much elsewhere.
The story here is that this lion was one of a pride of lions which had 5 cubs about this cub's age - and in this case, the lioness was escorting this cub which was not her own, back to the river where the others were. Zebra was being served.
