from the rim of the crater, looking down on the vastness of Ngorongoro - truly one of the wonders of the world.
This young lion awaited his litter mates as they collected at the end of the day by the river. Along the way, lions are always looking at what the game is doing. In this case, a herd of Impalas were approaching to take a drink also.
This young lion is the same one pictured on the log facing me, which happened later the next day. He and his litter mates were climbing and hanging out in the breeze - a common occurrence at Samburu but not so much elsewhere.
